Denise Nura Loy Buchanan has a Masters Degree
in Landscape Architecture and a Masters Degree
in Spiritual Psychology. She is a Sustainable
Landscape Design Professional with Permaculture
Design Training and expertise, specializing in
water-wise design. She has worked for over 15
years rejuvenating existing landscapes, developing
new ones and planning and designing tourist
resorts, greenways, community parks and
commercial and government projects. Denise's
high energy, enthusiasm and expertise in
generating landscapes that fit with the site has
been called on for a variety of projects in
Canada, the U.S.A. and the Caribbean. Denise's
love of nature and her mission to create beauty
on the planet, called her to create Sacred
Gardens, and in the Summer of 2003, she was
featured on HGTV's "Ground Rules".
Denise Nura Loy is a strong advocate of
cultivating the outer garden as we nurture the
inner garden. Creating outer environments, such
as meditative spaces and therapeutic garden
settings, that nurture and revive the soul,
supports each individual's growth and
development. Denise currently has a design studio
in Los Angeles, California
