What if we lived our lives as if everyone mattered?
What if we lived our lives as if our environment mattered?
That is what it means to Live the Love.
Live the Love is a global movement to provide life skills
education and training to help empower individuals. We
believe “you can give a person a fish, they will eat for a day,
teach a person to fish and they will eat for a lifetime”.
By developing sustainable skills, individuals can gain self
confidence and renewed self worth and self esteem and
become instrumental contributors to their community's growth
and development.
We teach people to care for themselves and care for the
planet by providing education and hands-on training in:
* Life skills
* Community master planning
* Sustainable building practices
* Sustainable landscape and garden design
* The cultivation of fruit and vegetable gardens
* Home and garden maintenance
We believe in promoting mutual collaboration of clients,
volunteers, donors, staff, and other community stakeholders to
create successful partnerships and sustainable projects.
Haiti
Live the Love is taking action through Live the Truth Center, Inc.
A 501 (c)(3) non profit organization committed to mobilize a
team to help in the rebuilding of Haiti.
The need for sustainable housing in Haiti is urgent and
immediate. We will provide product, training and support for
Haitians to build their own homes. We have expertise in a
proven and successful reinforced panel building system that
has been in use for over 30 years in over 40 different countries
worldwide. Here are some of the many outstanding features of
this building system:
* easy to learn
* low cost
* high quality
* building materials are readily available
* used in the construction of floors, roofs, load and non-load
bearingwalls
* used for restorations
* used for multi-storey buildings
* used for public buildings
* used for industrial buildings
* highest performance flame rating classification
* has moisture resistances in all exposures
* used as sound proofing for walls and floors
* enables building to conserve fuel and energy
* highest resistance to seismic events/earthquakes
* a building in Zambia of 2615 sq. ft, was constructed in 4
weeks
* The National Science Foundation South Pole Research Station
is constructed using this building technology.
