Denise Nura Joy has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a
Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture and a Masters Degree
in Spiritual Psychology. She is currently working on her Ph.D in
Ecopsychology with an emphasis on Sustainable Community
Development. Denise is the President of Live The Truth Centre, Inc.
a community development organization with the mission to
promote positive social change by developing healthy and strong
communities through local involvement in the community building
process.
Denise is a gifted Designer, Healer, and Public Speaker and as a
Teacher in the Shadhdhuliyyah Sufi Order, she brings a deep
compassion and loving to her work with people. Denise's
understanding of human behavior, her studies of nature, her
experience with individuals from all walks of life, and her intuition,
provide a unique blend of skills and a deep knowing about issues
that people face. Denise brings her life experience as witness to
the power of Spirit to transform lives. Her life is filled with an
earnest desire to assist others along their journey to fully claim
their gifts, inner beauty and power and live the life of love they
were born to lead.
Through the integration of a wide range of spiritual teachings,
each session with Denise is unique in that an intentional opening
is created where new awarenesses can be gained to heal and
grow and learn deeply about oneself. Whether through individual
phone conversations, workshops, or one-on-one healing
sessions, Denise's love radiates from her being and her
understanding of the divine essence within each person is evident.
With humble beginnings in Jamaica, Denise grew up surrounded
with the spiritual essence of life which has laid the foundation for
her spiritual journey. She spent many years as a Radio and
Television Producer, producing and presenting documentaries
and daily current event features as well as hosting her own
spoken word radio shows. Denise's love of nature and her deep
connection with the earth called her to design healing garden
spaces and in the Summer of 2003, she was featured on HGTV's
"Ground Rules".
As Denise brings this intention into her design of healing garden
spaces, she is a strong advocate of cultivating the outer garden
as we nurture the inner garden. Denise is about creating beautiful
environments, such as meditative spaces and therapeutic garden
settings, that nurture and revive the soul. For more information on

Denise also facilitates Poetry Writing Weekends at beautiful
resort locations. These weekends support the growth and
development of each individual's inner garden, through poetry
writing and creative expression. She has held Poetry Circles in
Los Angeles for the past 7 years and is an active Member of the
Poetry Therapy Association.
